The 2025 Kia Carnival is gearing up for its first refresh, and Kia has given us a preview of what's in store with some photos and preliminary details.
Striking Exterior Changes
Up front, the Carnival sports a fresh new look. The grille, headlight design, and bumper have been updated, offering a completely redesigned face. The most notable change is the prominent use of vertical elements, with the new vertically-oriented headlights stealing the show. Unlike the zig-zag daytime running lights (DRLs) on the current model, the new version features lights extending both downward through the stacked LED headlights and horizontally into the grille's center. While the lower side intakes in the bumper are gone, the central opening in the lower bumper appears larger.
A similar design theme carries over to the rear. The taillights now extend both downward and horizontally, although they don't meet in the middle for a full-width light. The tailgate itself has undergone a complete redesign, and the lower bumper sports a new shape with fresh trims. Notably, new wheels resembling the geometric design of the EV9 have been introduced, but they boast a unique style all their own. Kia's refresh of the Carnival showcases significant alterations to the minivan's overall visual appeal.
Limited Information, Promising Changes
While Kia hasn't divulged many details, it's worth noting that there will be a new "Gravity" trim that emphasizes dark metallic colors as its theme. A complete U.S. reveal of the refreshed Carnival may still be a few months away. However, there's a sense of anticipation for an equally impressive interior overhaul to complement the minivan's sharp new exterior appearance.
